The mechanic

About Brown's Bikes

Precision, reliability and personal attention for every bike.

Brown working carefully on a bicycle

Brown has worked with bikes since he was a teenager. What began as a part-time mechanic role at The Bike Store in Worthing grew into running the workshop and, eventually, building an independent mobile servicing business.

From the workshop to the race convoy

The move into race support began at Ras Mumhan in Ireland, working for a Surrey League team. Charity events led to connections with staff from ONE Pro Cycling, and soon Brown was working at races across Europe as well as the Tour de Yorkshire and Tour of Britain.

The following seasons brought work with Swift Carbon Pro Cycling, Team England at the Commonwealth Games, British Cycling and Trinity Racing.

Professional riders expect precision. They spend tens of thousands of kilometres on their bikes and notice the smallest change in performance. Brown has applied that same standard while working with riders including Tour de France finisher James Shaw and Grand Tour stage winner Alex Dowsett.

The same standard for every rider

Whether you are preparing a time-trial bike for a national race, getting your road bike ready for the season or rebuilding an old bike for a trip to the pub, you receive the same careful, personal service.
